Avicena, an Open Field Capital investment, demonstrated optical technology that addresses key data center scaling challenges that are being exasperated by the introductions of large language models such as ChatGPT

McKinsey wrote earlier this year,
"Higher computing power and innovative chip designs are also putting more demand on cooling systems by raising the power density: the energy consumption of the equipment stored in racks. Their average power densities have more than doubled over the past six to seven years and continue to rise."
